Web accessibility remediation services
Web accessibility remediation that fixes the code, not just the symptoms
We repair the accessibility barriers in your website's code, from keyboard traps and missing labels to colour contrast and focus order, and retest every fix against WCAG 2.2 AA.
Knowing your website has accessibility issues is one thing. Getting them fixed correctly, without breaking the design or the functionality, is the harder part.
Our remediation service resolves issues at the source. We work directly in your templates, components and stylesheets, so the barriers are removed for every visitor rather than hidden behind an overlay widget.
Scope
What we fix
Keyboard access
Every interactive element reachable and usable without a mouse, with a logical tab order and no keyboard traps.
Screen reader support
Semantic HTML, correct headings and landmarks, accessible names and ARIA used only where native elements cannot do the job.
Colour and contrast
Text, icons and interface states adjusted to meet contrast requirements while staying true to your brand palette.
Forms and error handling
Visible labels, clear instructions, announced errors and inputs that support autofill and assistive technology.
Images and media
Meaningful alternative text, decorative images hidden from assistive technology, and guidance for captions and transcripts.
Focus and dynamic content
Visible focus indicators, managed focus in modals and menus, and status updates announced to screen reader users.

Process
How remediation works
Step 1: Prioritise
We start from an audit, ours or an existing one, and order issues by user impact and risk.
Step 2: Fix
Issues are resolved in code, component by component, so one fix corrects every page that uses it.
Step 3: Retest
Each fix is verified manually with a keyboard and screen readers, not only with an automated scanner.
Step 4: Document
You receive a clear record of what was fixed, what remains and how to maintain it.
FAQ
Web Accessibility Remediation: frequently asked questions
Do you use accessibility overlay widgets?
No. Overlays sit on top of a site and leave the underlying code unchanged, so many barriers remain for people who rely on assistive technology. We fix the source code instead.
Do we need an audit before remediation?
Remediation needs a clear list of issues to work from. If you already have a recent audit we can use it. If not, we carry out an accessibility audit first so the work is prioritised properly.
Which platforms do you work with?
We remediate Shopify themes, WordPress sites and custom front ends built with HTML, CSS and JavaScript frameworks. Tell us how your site is built and we will confirm the best approach.
Can you guarantee our website will be legally compliant?
No one can honestly guarantee legal outcomes. What we provide is remediation measured against WCAG 2.2 AA, the standard most accessibility laws refer to, with documented evidence of what was tested and fixed.
